The CCDP will hold its Committee Caucuses on Saturday, October 3rd, at 9:30 AM in conjunction with our regular monthly meeting.
The Committee is a body of elected Democrats who officially conduct the business of the party. There are 6 seats apportioned for each County Commissioner district. Committee terms are for four years, and elections are held in even-numbered years. Click here for an interactive map.
The Committee meets the Monday before the first Saturday (the Monday before regular general meetings) at 6 PM. In-person meetings are done at the Newnan Chamber of Commerce, but currently meetings are being conducted via Zoom.
Per the bylaws, "any member of the CCDP who has publicly declared their membership in the CCDP at lest 60 days prior to said election is eligible to be elected to the County Committee." So if you subscribe to our e-mail, have come to a meeting, or voted in the Democratic primary you're eligible. Even if you haven't done any of that, you may still be eligible, just reach out to us.
You do not have to be present at the caucuses to run, but you do have to be present to vote. If you'd like to run, please e-mail email@example.com.
Please send any further questions to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll do our best to answer them.
The Coweta County Democratic Party is dedicated to building a better community for everyone who calls Coweta home. Through advocacy, candidate support, and voting coweta democrats can make a better Newnan, Grantville, Senoia, and Georgia.
" Character is on the ballot. Compassion is on the ballot. Decency, science, democracy.
They are all on the ballot.
Who we are as a nation. What we stand for. And, most importantly, who we want to be.
That's all on the ballot.
And the choice could not be clearer."
Vice President Joe Biden
