The Basics:

  • Confirm your registration. A change of address or not voting in two elections may invalidate your voter registration. Check with a computer or smart phone at http://www.mvp.sos.ga.us  or call the Coweta County Registrar at 770-254-2615.
  • Registration to vote is now also available online with a computer or smart phone at     http://www.mvp.sos.ga.us with a valid driver's license.
  • You need a photo I.D. to vote.  If you do not have a photo I.D., you can obtain one for free from the Registrar.
  • A voter over 75 years may go to the front of the line at the polls.
  • Voting by mail is available (without giving any reason) by requesting a mail-in ballot.  The request may be made  Registrar beginning January 12.  The paper ballot application form is available from the Registrar or by printing from your computer http://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov .   If the Registrar accepts your application and provides you a ballot, you must complete and return the ballot to the Registrar’s office by election day.
  • Ex-offender voting law - upon completion of incarceration, parole, or probation, a Georgia ex-offender’s right to vote is automatically restored.
